Andalucian Memories To Treasure

Recently, we lived one of those Andalucian Memories To Treasure...

Have You any stories to share with us?

The day we went to Granada we were rather misguided by an Alhambra entrance ticket man.

Our viewing slot was for 6:30 PM to see the Nazarie Palaces. He said: "The palace is near, about 100 metres. Be heading that way some 5 minutes beforehand, as they will chop you out, if you are late for your slot." We'd already heard loads of ominous similar-sounding stories.

Generalife Gardens It was a perfect, silky, Sunday afternoon.

Spring flowers were in full bloom; the vast variety of colours astounded. Heavenly scent came from the thousands and thousands of roses. Everyone was immersed in the Magic of the Generalife.

Some silly, handsome bird was flirting with the crowds and yes, we also observed it...and tried too, to get a great snap of it. Just like the tourists!

We realised we had three minutes left. We started racing.

Where were those Palacios Nazaries...?Not that gate, nor the next, nor the next...

Then, we mistakenly entered Carlos V's Palace.

"NO! Be quick you'll be late!" Muttered a drained ticket lady.

Off we tore...

Finally, down a crowded slope, there was the 6:30 PM queue. Panting, we joined them. It was 6:50 PM. In fact, we waited almost another 20 mins, before finally entering!

Four hours later, we could barely walk as we returned to the car. But it was definately one of the 'best Andalucian Memories To Treasure!' and well worth the sore feet.

Have you any Andalucian Memories To Treasure, you would like to share with us?
